Musical Friends
Hi Again,

I really want you to take a look at the websites and artists below if you haven’t already. Some make music for a living and have lots of history in the Adirondacks and in Adirondack music, some are part time musicians, but extremely talented and really worth checking out!! Below are just a few of my favorites that I think deserve more air time!!!! I mean really! Have you heard some of the music that makes the big time these days???? These guys/gals are great!!

Roy Hurd photo
ROY HURD – I love all his stuff but truly his latest album is my new favorite of just about anything I listen to!! Im sure that if you are at my web site, Roy is no stranger, but just in case. Here's his web site: www.royhurd.com. He is a professional musician and you can get his music easily and see him at lots of North Country venues!

Jamie Savage photo
JAMIE SAVAGE – Jamie does one of the best jobs of capturing the Adirondacks--their feel and their history--in upbeat folk tunes and mellow ballads. He’s a great musician who I have perfomed with lots in the past, and is working on his third CD. He also has more contemporary pieces and performs plenty in the North Country. Please give him a listen: www.jamiesavage.com

Wall-Stiles photo
BRUCE BROUGH AND THE WALL-STILES - This is a new Vermont band lead by the really great writing, singing and playing of Bruce Brough and rounded out by talented percussion, fiddle and bass. Really cool original contemporary folk. Not something you hear every day and much of it danceable!!! I don’t know what they have available in MP3 but give the web site a try. They have a gig up here on August 27th in Saranac Lake. My pick for the best new northeastern folk rock band!! www.wall-stiles.com

Dan Berggren photo
DAN BERGGREN – Balladeer extraordinaire. He is a master of his own ‘stories in song’ and is interested in preserving the traditional/historical music that characterized the people and culture of the north country. www.berggrenfolk.com

Peggy Lynn photo
PEGGY LYNN - Peggy Lynn, singer, songwriter and arts educator brings an infectious enthusiasm to all her endeavors. With a sultry, yet powerful alto voice, Peggy gives a clear message of the passion underlying her songs. While her style and range give meaning and feeling to all her work, her most powerful message, her passion, is for the contributions and burdens of women. Peggy ranges from folksy to blues with equal ease, alone or harmonizing with others. www.quercusmusic.com

Dan Duggan photo
DAN DUGGAN - Dan Duggan is a nationally touring performer and teacher, and is one of the finest dulcimer players and composers in the country. As recipient of the prestigious National Hammered Dulcimer Championship, Dan's accomplishment, though based on technical merit, is even more considerable as he is the first winner to have performed all original compositions. www.esperanceproductions.com

Mark Elliott photo
MARK ELLIOTT - Mark Elliott helped out on the digital sequencing and editing on my new CD. He is a great guy, a fantastic singer/songwriter and musician...and a great contact for making music! www.markelliottmusic.com, www.reverbnation.com/markelliottmusic, www.facebook.com/markelliott

Bluseed photo

BluSeed and founder Carol Vossler are committed to sharing and providing art experiences to the local community using local artists, musicians and poets, as well as showcasing great regional and national acts.
